The City Circle Tram provides a very convenient way for everyone to go to some places on the map of Melbourne. Places such as the Old Treasury Building, the Princess Theatre, Parliament House, and the Federation Square.

You would also get to learn through their running commentary as you pass or stop at any historic and cultural places. The City Circle Tram has also been associated with the MCTS or Melbourne City Tourist Shuttle. They provide free shuttle bus service on a different Melbourne city circuit.

Flinders St Station

The Flinders Street Station is one of the most popular landmarks in central Melbourne, and it is also a very nice place to meet new friends, relatives, and new people. With having a Victorian design and awesome, large clock faces, the Flinders Street Station was constructed in the 19th century. It was said to be one of the busiest suburban railway station in the 19th century in the southern hemisphere. Because of the station’s marvelous Victorian architecture, it preserves Melbourne’s connection with the past even if it’s located within the area where several structures have contemporary designs.

Royal Botanic Gardens

The Royal Botanic Gardens in Melbourne displays extensive landscaped gardens that covers over 35 hectares of land that you will never get to see in any other places in the map of Melbourne. The botanical gardens houses thousands of species of different trees, shrubs and plants. They offer free self-guided audio walks and free guided tours. They are open every day from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm during the months of April through October, and 7:30 am to 7:30 pm in the months of November through March.

Australian Centre for the Moving Image

While you’re at the Federation Square, you wouldn’t want to miss visiting the Australian Centre for the Moving Image. They have their Screen Gallery and a huge collection of displays that showcase the Australian screen-based arts such as computer animation, interactive installation, television, video, and film. Their Screen Gallery is open from Mondays to Fridays from 10 am to 5 pm, and 10 am to 6 pm on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.

Federation Square

The Federation Square is right along the route of the City Circle Tram. Both the Federation Square and the Flinders Street Station have their own distinct architectural styles. The Federation Square offers you authentic souvenirs in their galleries and shops.

National Gallery of Victoria

Situated on the Saint Kilda Road, the National Gallery of Victoria has just been recently renovated and is home to different authentic and diverse Australian collections from both local and international artists. Entry to the National Gallery of Victoria is for free, though there are some fees that may be applied during exhibitions or any other special events.

The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia

Another place that you can visit in the map of Melbourne is the Ian Potter Centre. It is located within the Federation square and it is the home of the National Gallery of Victoria’s Australian art collection which is recognized to be the largest in the whole world. Admission is free if you want to see their permanent collections but fees may be applied during special events.

Queen Victoria Market

Queen Victoria Market is the largest open-air market in the southern hemisphere. The market offers a variety of merchandise and fresh farm produce which turns the place into a modern Arabian bazaar.
